Yu Chen is currently an associate professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, as well as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Software within the same department. Additionally, he has been a visiting scholar at MIT EECS. He serves as a standing committee member of the System Software Special Committee of the China Computer Federation. His main research areas include operating systems, principles of compilers, program analysis, system reliability, and performance optimization. He has led and participated in various projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 863 Program, and key special projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology. For his contributions, he has received one second prize for National Scientific and Technological Progress and three first prizes at the provincial and ministerial levels. Chen Yu has published over sixty high-level academic papers and has taken on roles such as chair or program committee member for influential domestic and international academic conferences. He is responsible for teaching courses on operating systems and advanced operating systems at the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University.
